On this date, 35 years ago, a group of family and friends gathered in a small glade surrounded by towering pines with patches of snow in all the shady areas. They had gathered here to watch Lynn Arnold Maranta and Floyd Goff become man and wife. They loved one another mightily and unconditionally, and this was the beginning of a wonderful, sometimes trying, sometimes amazing journey together and that love never wavered. She was my savior, best friend, lover, cheer leader, confidant, and above all else, My Dear Companion.
