SEEK DAILY (NBC) Saturday, June 28 1 Corinthians 12:27-31 MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 1 Corinthians 12:27, NIV The feet are planted on the ground to support the entire body; the hands swing at liberty; which one is more important than the other? As the members in the human body are different, so are the different members of the mystical body of Christ. All are intended by Him to have the same relation to one another; to mutually serve one another; to mourn with and rejoice with one another. None in the body is useless; no one is unnecessary. Rather, they should humbly relate with one another on the basis of the task apportioned to each of them. The varieties of gifts and grace are intended by the Giver to perfect His body (Ephesians 4:12). Contempt, envy, hatred and strife must be consciously done away with in the interrelationship of the gifts within the body. How do you view yourself in the body of Christ? Have you rated yourself as unimportant or you overrate yourself at the expense of others who are equally important?
