On this day, 18 years ago, I drove my mom to her doctors appointment in Bloomington. I was 2 days away from my due date. I started feeling weird on the way home so my mom said lets stop at Walmart in Bedford and walk around to make sure you are not going into labor. Sure enough, I started having mild contractions. We went to the hospital in Bedford to have them check me. They did and said I was dilated but to go ahead home it would be awhile. As we were leaving, we ran into Cheri Hughes who was there visiting her husband. We sat down beside her on a bench outside. As we were sitting out enjoying the weather, my water broke...all over the bench. Sorry Cheri!! Needless to say, I was admitted to the hospital to give birth to my one and only baby girl. Once everyone had arrived to the hospital, Alexandra Hope Land arrived. I have loved you from that moment on. Im so proud of you and happy that I was chosen to be your mom! I love you Angel Face!
