On this day 27 years ago, I graduated Boot Camp & became a Marine. Today, I open another chapter of my life as I strive to regain my health, and get back into fighting shape. But, before I begin I need to recognize some people that have attempted to help me along the way. People that I not only owe a debt of gratitude, but also an apology for not being as committed to them as they were to me. So, I want to say Thank You & Im Sorry to George Lockhart, Joe Martin, Matt Fistpump McLellan, Suzanne Ramsden, Matt Smartt, Teressa Stann, Clay Stewart, & Brian Utley. I appreciate everything you folks tried to do for me, and the help you gave me. Hopefully someday I can find a way to repay you! I also want to recognize someone that has become an inspiration to me, and helped make my decision to start CrossFit a simple one. Our stories are very similar - not only are we fellow Jarheads, weve both suffered the consequences of bad choices & letting ourselves go after our tour of duty was up. And, it only seems fitting that on the same day I begin my CrossFit journey, Joe Hancuff celebrates his 1 year anniversary. Thanks for the inspiration, brutha!!
