On this day I remember those that helped me get to where I am. From the immigrant monkeys that came here from a bigoted country to find bigots here. They worked harder than others and in the process helped build rail service, canals, coal mines, neighborhood fire and security watch forces (police and fire dept.). I honor my parents who gave so much so their eight children could live a better life. I wont be drinking, going to church or raising hell. I will be talking to some I havent seen in years, talking and enjoying the company of other Irishman, as was the intent of this holiday. Today many will be loud, drunk and a bit rude. I will be loud, rude and sober. We arent the prettiest of Gods creation, but a few beers can change that perception. Be safe, be happy. Enjoy St. Patricks day.
