On this day, March 29,2002 at about 6PM I became Mrs. Joyce Ann Baitinger. It also became a long journey for my parents, especially my Mother. It has been 12 years today. Seems like it has been 22 years and also at times it seems like it was yesterday. It was a wonderful day as far as our getting married but was a very sad day due to what happened to my mother at our wedding. For those of you who dont know, my mother had an aneurism (sp) burst in her brain at our wedding. They were just getting ready to play the wedding march when this happened. Thankfully to the good lord she survived it. The vein that the aneurism was in clotted itself off to a main vein and kept her from bleeding out and dying. She spent till May in Nashville at the St. Thomas Hospital. Then came home to spend the rest of her life in a nursing home. To say that that day was the happiest and saddest day of my life is true. We spent our wedding night in the waiting room at St. Thomas. It is a day I will never forget. Both my parents are gone now. Dad in 2008 and Mom in 2012. Sure wish they were both still here and healthy and able to celebrate with us. We are celebrating at home due to not having our car here and not having the money to go out. But we are thankful to be able to celebrate it together.
