On todays run, the good parts were Hemp and the bad parts were - TopicsExpress

On todays run, the good parts were Hemp and the bad parts were Hemp. The set left early as he was on his outrun, but he caught them and did a very nice and controlled dogleg to make the panels. One tried to go the wrong way around the post but he caught her and had a good turn and a nice drive away to the right, making the panels. The sheep then started to run and we missed the crossdrive panels a little low. We turned them and started to make a good line on the third leg when one sheep decided she wanted to break away. I flanked Hemp wide and he put them back together, but when she broke again, I gave a wide flank and he decided he didnt want her anymore and flanked in front of her instead of behind her, letting her continue on her way up the field. I told him he had to go back for her so he did but our other three were now way off line and trying to go behind the hill to exhaust. Hemp caught them and despite her facing him he came on, put them back on the line and we went to the pen. On our first attempt, we had them in the mouth but Hemp kept walking on to them when they needed time to think so they busted out and went behind the pen. We put them back in the mouth and this time, Hemp gave her the time she needed and she went in. I then needed very badly to look at my watch to see how much time we had but my watch had stopped working on the flight over. I figured Id be ok because they were running a big clock for the spectators that every one could see. Unfortunately on my run, they stopped it halfway through and with no idea of our time, I moved into the shedding ring. As I flanked Hemp around, one ewe charged him and attacked him twice but he actually didnt see it because he was flanking on the other sheep that I had told him to. They then tried to make a break for the exhaust and he caught them before they left the ring and stood to him again and tried to attack. I decided to go over and help them since they were in the ring (if they were out of the ring and I helped him I could be DQd). As I was walking around to his side our time ran out so I flanked him to send them to the exhaust and that ewe attacked again so he hit her hard on the nose and the audience cheered him. Our score will be nothing to speak of but I think Hemp feels like he won in the end!
