On30 HAPPENS HERE! As we discussed hitting 900 members in the group in an earlier post I though of the countless number of On30 modelers that are not on Facebook. I have been to four train shows in as many weeks and have talked with On30 modelers at every one that are not on FB. Simply because they are misinformed about the risks to personal privacy. At the Greenberg show in Pittsburgh last Sunday I spoke with 7 different On30 guys that do not do FB...one of which was a published On30 modeler. So if any of you have On30 modeling friends or acquaintances that are not of FB take a few minutes to explain the incredible volume of information that is exchanged here on a daily basis. That we have more posts in a day then most groups get in a week or month and if they are active in the On30 modeling world...this is where it is happening. Also that FB is only as risky as the info they post. If they keep it general they are at little or no risk of encountering a privacy problem. As fantastic as this group is now...just imagine how much more knowledge, photos and tips could be shared if we could get some of these great modelers to join in our group. Spread the word!
