Once again Hillcrest residents are failing to cooperate with efforts to eliminate bear attractants in town. Tonight, District Fish and Wildlife Officer John Clarke with help from Bearsmart volunteers and his trusty Karelian Bear Dogs Koda and Atlas, dealt with a black bear near 232 street, where numerous residents had placed their garbage in the alley. If attractants continue to be left out, this bear will become more habituated, possibly leading to relocation or worse. Is this your garbage?
