Once again, the gay community suffers, and I bare the burden. The - TopicsExpress

Once again, the gay community suffers, and I bare the burden. The owner of Salem Citgo found out I was gay and dismissed me. I was told to drop the key off at the post office. Today a police officer shows up at my home, telling me I am at risk of being arrested for theft. Theft of what? The key. He was quite annoyed that he was even dealing with this, and was very nice. I was escorted to the store, where Amar (the owner) told the police officer I quit. Providing a text message with my name on it, though he would not pull the contact up to show my phone number attached to my name. In short, he falsified a text message. At this point the police officer was extremely kind and empathetic to me, telling Amar, this is a small town, and there will be no slander against this kid. This IS civil rights, and all of you who think you have any place to be a bigot of any sort should be ashamed of yourself. Those of you who supported DOMA should be ashamed of yourself. We are not granted dictatorship over others as a McDonalds happy meal toy. Live and let live! Not one of you is entitled to anything but your beliefs. However, YOUR beliefs of hate and ignorance are YOURS. Keep them out of government, off my body, and out of my bedroom. Please keep fighting! Help me and help others end this! Altruism is the greatest gift we can give-- because it is the source of serenity for both ourselves and others.
