Once beaten twice shy!!!!! OOUites it is time to rise up and take your destinies into your own hands, because everything that the state government has done so far indicates their non-readiness and insincerity towards the reduction of our school fees. Ask yourselves, is it the same man that trekked the length and breadth of Ogun state in 2011 to promise the drastic reduction of the school fees of all tertiary institution within the state and has not done so in 3years, 2months, 2weeks, and over 20hrs since he has been sworn in as the state governor that you will believe???? Now that he has come with another promise that is to be effected after the next election. This government does not have the credibility or history of a promise keeper and his latest promise is one of the highest insult and assault of our intelligence as students of a tertiary institution and if we allow ourselves to be fooled a second time, then we may never be wise again. Don’t forget that he has promise an SUG bus to all tertiary institution in the state in order to gag the student union and weaken their resolve to fight, but we will rise together as ordinary students with or without the support of the students union and fight to the end, so that we can once and for all tell this government that we are no fool and we refuse to be used as pawns in his electoral campaign propaganda. You can fool a man once, but you can’t fool all men all the time. If LASU’s fee could be reduced to 25K with immediate effect, why should anyone in OOU still pay more than 50K and we should they have to wait till next session before that happens? May be we should tell the governor to wait till 2019 or 2023 before we give him a chance for second term? It is high term we pick up our gears and prepare for a showdown any government will not forget in a hurry, so that this government and many like it will know that Nigerian students are no fools, and for the moles on the government payroll, trying to divide our resolve, we are watching you closely. Greatest Nigerian student and OOUites in particular, let us not be afraid, tired, weary or relent to give this struggle all it takes, cos posterity will judges if we do not permanently make tyrannical and oppressive government like the one we have understand that the voice of the masses is still and will always remain the most effective tool of change.
