Once upon a time ..... Its all happening here today. Call at 03.12 - badger cub rta on way in - silence - tried calling, no reply. 05.00 male blue tit starts feeding the female with young, visits every 4 to 5 minutes with food - amazing dedication! 05.14 people ring re the badger cub, now seems to have morphed in to a fox cub, but as they arrived they said it seemed better so they took it back and released it. 05.50 mallard returns to her nest probably to lay another egg - 5 so far but lost one to a magpie. So after all that I neednt have been up most of the night BUT just think what I would have missed, all those amazing insights into the wildlife spectacles that are happening all around us every minute of every day but so often go by unseen. Truly spectacular.
