Oncology Chronicles Volume 27 By Danny Bridges Yesterday I met Jason who is just 11 years of age. We conversed about all the important stuff such as Colts football, his new Air Jordans and of course the age old debate regarding who has the best fast food french fries. His pleasant disposition and positive attitude inspired me and you would never know that he is fighting for his life. Riddle me this Batman: Why in the hell is my situation stage one while this kid is in the twilight of his life? I continue to ask myself that question and I cannot reconcile the matter. This kid is a remarkable human and a pleasure to be around, unlike many boys his age. I am not a particularly spiritual person and really do not give a damn about, or buy in to, the whole organized religion thing that consumes this country. I will however ask whatever higher power there is to touch this kid and give him comfort and strength. Please feel free to join me.
