One Trick Pony Leopold Bench...getting close to finished product and working out last bit of detail work on the backrest for the bench. First pic left shows that backrest withe Brewery name and running horse routed on center, Establishment date L-side of center, and two horseshoes L and R sides of backrest. The change in the detail was instead of routing out a horseshoe shape, routing out shape of an actual shoe and imbedding it so face/bottom of shoe flush with backrest surface. Second pic shows closer view of brewery name, running horse outline and establishment date routing. Third pic shows close-up of imbedded horseshoe. Still have to remove the horseshoe and then bevel the edges of the routing. Fourth pic shows the actual bench in garage. Note the real aluminum horeshoe tacked to inside of long leg. There are two others on the outside upper end of long legs. Got two more shoes left, so probably tack those on outside long legs about middle or even with bench seat. The final step will be to paint the letter and running horse routing with black paint, then do a final touch-up sanding of backrest surface, then drill and lag bolt it to the backside of the long legs. Estimated completion/delivery date to the brewery...Monday, November 11th...perfect timing for $6 growler refills!
