One day last year around this time Devon Pov Mason and I walked with the kids to Safeway in Easton. At the.time that is where we were staying with a family member of mine. I had just quite my job because I could no longer manage to get there, it was in Dover, DE. So we had my last check left and that was it, almost down to nothing. We got to Safeway and did a little grocery shopping, got up to the register and our card declined. We were shocked because we were sure we had some money left. Well turns out that the hotel in dover we were living in before we came to Easton said we still owed them. Everything was a mess! We put Londens diapers back and the little bit of food we had. Walking out with nothing was like the world was crashing down. I busted out in tears as we walked out. So angry and frustrated for us going through this. A man that was behind us in line walked around the corner to where we were standing and ask to speak to Devon, Devon came back with a fifty dollar bill. Smh! I busted out crying again, this time with tears joy and relief because we could get out baby diapers. :-) In our time of need God sent us a angel! A stranger. I think about that day from time to time and it helps me keep going. God willing I will always be on my grind and make sure we never experience that again.
