One day my parents were at the mall, and the Humane Society had opened a new annex there. They decided to go look,and saw the most pitiful creature ever created. An 8 year old pug that was 40 pounds, had green stuff coming out its nose, the most horrid smell imaginable and a cough. My mother said that they had to adopt her, because if they didnt, no one else would. My step-dad figured they would adopt her to take her home to die, but at least it would be more comfortable than in a kennel. So they took her home, renamed her to Beulah Belle, started treating the respiratory infection and that was it for a while. One day I went over to visit and this dog came right up to me, prancing around. My step-dad said that they would forget she existed until feeding time, because she didnt interact with anyone that that was the first sign of a personality.
