One farmer who has received over $30,000 in compensation (basically being rewarded for being a slob farmer) is held up as the poster child for the wolf hunt in MI. Livestock and pet owners can already kill wolves and kill permits can be issued to take out the offending wolves. Killing random wolves will increase conflicts between livestock and wolves.
