One last story about my dad, ever the trial lawyer and then US magistrate. After his hemorrhagic stroke, he was asked two days in a row, Mr Prince, do you know where you are? He was unable to answer. He was in various states of incoherency. The third day, the doctor asked him the same question. He struggled so, squinched his eyes and mouth so much in his struggle to answer the question, and then in an an amazing moment of lucidity, looked at the doctor, and, clear as a bell, asked What is the purpose of your question?
