One mojito and 4 iPad mini 2s (early Christmas presents) makes for a relaxing lunch at TGIFridays. And I might add that is a well-deserved mojito! I thought our flight left GR at 12:55 and looked at the itinerary on the way to the airport (leaving Rockford at 11:10) and realized takeoff was at 12:10. Yep - they held the plane open for us! Its work packing for a family of 6, and I had a few fails with forgetting things 👎! De-icing the plane took longer than planned and our tight connection in Atlanta got a little tighter...not good when you are sitting in rows 28 & 29, the last 2 on the plane 😔. Land at C55 and have 25 minutes until our flight leaves but need to get to gate A24 in Atlanta. We ran as fast as we could, but they were putting standby passengers (now happy passengers) in our seats. Delta just put us on the next straight flight to Manchester instead of a different connection, but we have to wait 5 hours. Its worth the wait though! Tony Paine - we now land at 8:30 instead of 7:25 tomorrow morning! Now hoping the peeps sleep most of the 8 hour flight! Now its time for some (a lot really) of caffeine and get some work done 😩😖😂
