I only just now listened to the program, and this is what I wrote to him: When I received the recommendation to review Prof. Snyders speech, I deferred because of distraction with many other things. However, I just heard it and IT REALLY DID BLOW MY MIND!!! Who is listening to him, and where does he have influence? Are there any critiques that seriously challenge his thesis? I must say that it sheds more light on the perilous state of Israel (no pun intended) than most political analysis I read, and it puts Obamas ideological program in a new light. This lecture crystallizes some vague fears that I always assumed were fundamentally unrealistic. I now see that Obama is a more serious threat to the institutions of freedom and traditional Western ideals--I really mean Jewish values--in America than most of the general public and the cultural elites seem to realize. Abbas, Hamas, Iran and so on are the very epitome of the historical fascist dangers the professor was telling us about. I dont know how Im going to sleep tonight.
