One month from today, my wife Audrey and I will be ending a 33 year marriage. God knows there have been some incredible highs and seemingly unbearable lows, but, we saw this marriage through until the final child flew the coop. Yes, it will be sad. No, there is no animosity between us. Our mediating attorney is so proud of how maturely we have both handled all the legal and financial formalities. We still both believe in the institution of marriage and neither of us are cynical about love. We have simply grown apart to the degree that conscious uncoupling makes sense. We are both so proud of the fact that we have reared two exceptionally wonderful children (Dave and Emily). Also, we took care of business regarding running a household and much of the credit goes to Audrey since I have been known to put in a few too many long work days. Audrey and I will remain friends and we still have each others back. Im sharing this status in the spirit of heading off any unfounded rumors or gossip and also informing my friends so you will know the truth. Thanks and God bless.
