★ One month left to submit! ★ Based on the submissions weve received so far, a few reminders: We ARE looking for essays that directly discuss the Gurlesque in literary works, as well as in other art & media forms (painting, video, TV, music, film, etc.). Who sings gurlesque songs? Makes gurlesque movies? In other words, were curious to see how the concept might translate to other media. And of course we want essays about poets, too -- including some discussion of what the Gurlesque means for the poet(s) youre writing about will give the essay a greater chance of being included in the anthology. We are NOT looking for essays that address womens art and literature in other ways but dont mention the Gurlesque.
