One more day in Jamaica and one more day of nervous excitement. We came to support Zharnel Hughes bid to do well in the 100m and 200m and he has lifted the nation of Anguilla. He has inspired me and I hope he is inspiring us all to work harder, do more, fight through the challenges and difficulties. He has done so and continue to do so. Shin splints, hamstring issues and he rose, made no excuses, showed up and performed. A real lesson in life. He has broken Yohan Blakes 2007 record. He has ran faster than every Olympian and world championship 100m sprinter that graced the CHAMPS stage. That is not to be understated and he has gotten consistently better. Improving himself not only as an athlete but as a man. His interviews are eloquent, intelligent, gracious and sought after. kudos to his family, coaches, teachers and friends. Now lets go get Usain Bolts CHAMPS 200m record that many thought was unreachable. Say a prayer for him and God will raise him up as he continues to run for a nation and glory
