One of a number of new brands to land at END. this season, French-brand Armor Lux have a past steeped in history with a real tangible provenance. Established in 1938 in Quimper, Brittany, their wares are world-renowned for the use of Breton stripes, initially a legal requirement to be worn by French fisherman to help find men overboard. ‘Nets’ sees Hilt Journal editor and director Jacob Harmer follow three Britons working off the coast of Hastings. A brief but poignant insight into the daily life of fishermen, the video documents the men overcoming the elements, owning their work and taking pride in their independence.
