One of my Favourite Actors of all time - Mr. Peter O Toole has passed away at the age of 81. His most famous role was as T.E. Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia.. However he portrayed many great roles in his illustrious 50 year career. He happens to be the record holder for having lost 8 Oscar nominations for best Actor! Finally he was awarded an honorary Oscar on his 70th year where he wittingly said Always a bridesmaid never a bride my Foot! (on receiving a lifetime achievment at the 75th Academy awards March 23, 2003.). One of my personal favourite performances of his (amongst many) was in the film My Favourite Year, which also won him an Oscar Nomination for best Actor.. I have his entire filmography in my movie collection.. Its a possession I treasure! Dear Mr. O Toole, Thank you for the joy; Thank you for the brilliance; Thank you for the Memories & Thank you for the Education.... And Dear God, Thank You for Peter OToole!! Rest in Peace...God Speed...
