One of my all time FAVE exercises for building glute strength and improving ankle proprioception (balance). Weak glutes are common in runners and the cause of many knee problems which plague runners! Add this in to your strength and conditioning routine! Its TOUGH - so start with very little knee bend for 100 reps each leg and reduce the reps as youre able to increase the angle. This should be pain free! Use your glutes to push up from the squats with each rep! Below are some scaled versions you can also use. PLUS they look BAD ASS in the gym ;-)
