One of my biggest faults is having expectations then being - TopicsExpress

One of my biggest faults is having expectations then being disappointed. We had our house professionally cleaned after we moved out, made sure all of the air filters were brand new, all the light bulbs worked and all the toilets had toilet paper - amongst other things. We thought it was the right thing to do - good karma. Unfortunately, the people we bought our house from did not do the same. We have spent huge amounts of time cleaning before we can put away. Steve spent hours yesterday replacing extremely filthy air filters then vacuuming the air ducts and vents (5 of them). Light bulbs burned out throughout the house (many) have all turned out to be broken with the base still screwed into the socket. More time spent trying to get the broken bulbs out, etc. not to mention the expense of replacing those bulbs. The master bath potty had no toilet paper. This move has taught me valuable lessons about expectations (dont have any and you wont be disappointed), patience, sharing responsibility and given me a refreshed appreciate of my husband and his talents and skills. Any job worth doing is worth doing well - the first time! Thankful and blessed to be in our wonderful new home! Just had to share and now back to the boxes!
