One of my favorite new years memories was not at a bar but at work working the 3:30pm to Midnight shift. I had my favorite patient( I know nurses arent suppose to have those, but the majority of nurses do). I ran into his room and shouted Happy New Years! I gave him a hug and he snuck a kiss on my cheek. Then he smiled and said that made his New Year. He passed away a few months later. Ill never forget that night and the smile he had on his face and the fun we always had during my shift. He was a WWII veteran and I always enjoyed listening to his war stories and his stories about life. Happy New Years! Drive smart and drive safe!
