One of my favourite poets, Rainer Maria Rilke invites us ... to welcome the new year, full of things that have never been. When I read those lines I feel a mixture of excitement, curiosity and anticipation. We get to begin again, see things fresh and engage with our world in maybe new ways. And it requires courage... courage to let go of the old ways of moving and to allow ourselves to rest in not-knowing. What is it that wants to be birthed through us at this time? How do we co-create with the bigger current of life and engage with whatever it brings with fluidity and an ability to act creatively? I love moving with these questions and allowing the wisdom of my body to be my guide. We learn through our bodies, through recurrent practices and that learning can take us to new ways of leading our lives. I look forward to meeting you in the Dance again and sharing the potent practice of the 5Rhythms with you.
