One of my new favorite apps is called iTranslate [https://itunes.apple/us/app/itranslate-free-translator/id288113403?mt=8]. I love its voice recognition technology whereby, after you configure the to/from target languages, you just speak into your voice-enabled device, and “voila,” you get an instant translation. This app also supports text-to-speech, so you can type or copy and paste text into the app. The app can come in handy for a number of reasons. First, you could use it when language would otherwise be a barrier, say, when you want to communicate with a non-native English speaker. Or, you can use it as a dictionary to learn new words and phrases in a foreign language. Plus, you’ll be able to hear how the foreign words/phrases are pronounced. You can also share the translations via Email, SMS, Facebook and Twitter. What are your favorite language apps? ~Mark
