One of my projects at work has been to establish Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Childrens Hospital of New Jersey as an ATC (Authorized Training Center) to teach The Difficult Airway Course: EMS™ to health care personnel. A years worth of work, training, contracts & legal agreements, acquisition of materials and developing relationships with First Airway, who sponsors the course, is paying off. Finally, the day is here, our first class will be held tomorrow and Tuesday at NBI. I want to thank my director Michael Pardi, whos support for this project has been unwavering and Fred Ellinger who has helped us develop our program from the ground up. I pray we pull this off successfully. I know that beneath my tearful and exhausted surface somewhere is genuine excitement for this new opportunity. Honestly though, right now my mind is squarely upon Wednesday morning when I pick up my #littleB and our family disappears on a camping trip for a few days. Im considering a social media blackout, but lets not get carried away. Maybe I should just go to sleep. Thank you again guys.
