One of the Psalms we sang in corporate worship yesterday was Psalm 40, a cry to God in the midst of suffering. It is also a call to persevere and remain faithfully steadfast in the midst of persecution and trials. Psalm 40 will be one of our daily Scripture readings later this week. On the same notes as that Psalm, this week’s Puritan Monday selection addresses how we are to stand up to persecution and suffering in this world.
