One of the best NCIS episodes - Call of Silence, starring Charles Durning as an aging widower named Yost. Hes turning himself in because he murdered someone. The story goes on as Gibbs (Mark Harmon) tries to prove Yosts innocence. To keep him in protective custody, DiNozzo accompanies Yost home and they drink thru the night. When Yost puts on some martial music, DiNozzo who had been sleeping on the couch gets a rude awakening. While DiNozzo goes for coffee to help cure a possible hangover, Yost recalls his war-time days but it becomes obvious that hes beginning to accept that he doesnt deserve the Medal of Honor. Yost then shows DiNozzo some photos of his colleagues and eventually one of his late wife, but when DiNozzo remarks that Yosts buddies would be jealous, Yost gets angry about the remark. DiNozzo apologizes and says, But shes beautiful and Yost remarks, Yeah she was a peach
