One of the biggest setbacks regarding our systems of governance & justice is how much stake we put in quantification. And when I say quantification, Im not necessarily talking about collective human inventory, but Im definitely talking about how much net worth that inventory represents. It shows a complete lack of compassion, and because our whole method of commerce & exchange forces this kind of thinking down our throats, it is very difficult for most people to see how destructive it is.
