One of the challenges facing us as a country is shortage of skills and unemployement.I think we should learn from Zimbambe.I had a conversation with one of Zimbambeans doing business in South Africa.He confirmed what a Maths teacher from Zimbambe told me last year.Their education system is based on skills that can help them start their own businesses.Theory alone cannot help us address some of the problems we are facing as a country.The quality of the courses that we have in our FET colleges must be improved. Taking these to secondary schools will make sure that even those who have failed matric can get jobs or start their own businesses. We have seen people from Zimbambe building hosues,repairing cars,fixing electriciy etc.Even those who do not have grade 12 certificates are able to put food on the table instead of looking for jobs or applying for social grants.We must learn from Zimbambe
