One of the finest statues of Namgyalma by the top artisan in Nepal. One of the primary functions of Namgyalma is the ability to purify/ cleanse extreme negative karma. Her mantra is said to be so extremely powerful that it is able to destroy the heaviest karma in the 6 realms ie the hell realms and liberate souls trapped within. Needless to say more, the practitioner of her mantra will prolong his/her lifespan as the individual karma reduces to dust. So basically, having a long, healthy, illness-free life is merely a sub-function of her wondrous mantra. Here, she is spotted with 3 faces, central peaceful, one semi-wrathful and other fully wrathful baring her fangs and even hissing tongue. She holds a Amitabha statue on her left upper hand to signify that she holds the key to rebirth in Amitabha land. The text promises that anyone who recites her dharani 21 times daily will Definitely gain rebirth in Amitabha land, hereby showing that her power extends beyond this mortal life but to infinite life in Amitabha land thereafter. She holds a bow and arrow to signify shooting the Lord of Death, Yama, to death. Again, she promises her devotees that she can vanquish death and bestow a deathless state onto her devotees.
