One of the first outside productions I can remember Beatles - TopicsExpress

One of the first outside productions I can remember Beatles producer George Martin doing after the demise of the band was this debut album by Parrish and Gurvitz in 1971. The lush sound and great string arrangements by Sir George were first class, of course, but the band rose to the occasion with some high quality songs and great harmonies. Drummer was Mike Kellie from Spooky Tooth and Paul Gurvitz went on to work with Graeme Edge, Ginger Baker and Buddy Miles, among others.
