The same pertains to a nation. Indians who explore abroad are often wonderstruck by the cleanliness around them. A land of filth, no matter how talented its people and how wonderful its natural resources, will never earn the respect it deserves. It is also said that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”. Gandhi’s dream was not only to see India as a republic nation but also as a clean nation. Perhaps, this is the reason why PM Narendra Modi launched the campaign “Swachh Bharath”, which aims to accomplish the vision “Clean India” by 2019. The campaign was commenced on birthday of one of the most eminent personalities of the world, popularly known as Father of the nation, Mahatma, just 38 days old but impacted more than 38 billion people. Such a profound maker made all the crown bearers broom. This would be the biggest tribute to Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th birthday.
