One of the funniest matches in football history: Arsenal VS Spartak Moscow (1925) The fog was covering the pitch (White Hart Lane). It was too hard to see and impossible to play a match. The referee refused to cancel the game simply because the other team came all the way from Russia. One Arsenal player was sent off because he kept arguing with the referee. The player later came back in to the match and the referee did not notice. Spartak made a change, but the subbed player did not go off the pitch. The match continued this way and the referee was not able to see anything. At some stage during the match, Spartak played with 15 players. Arsenal players started to feel that something was wrong, but no one was able to count the players. The real problem started when Arsenal goalkeeper got injured after smashing his head into the post while trying to save the ball... The injured keeper left the pitch, and one of the fans jumped in to replace keeper, again no one noticed
