One of the gifts of life is being part of a larger generational culture and context. I am grateful for the generations that came before me, their particular struggles and achievements. I am in awe of the generations that were born after mine with their particular challenges and collaborative problem solving. But this week, I have been aware of what it means to me to be an American Baby Boomer, remembering the history that shaped us, aware of the stage of life we now inhabit, owning our collective mistakes, and delighting in the bright points of our contributions to the larger good. Blessings on my American generation, and all generations everywhere.
