One of the grossest things about my job (aside from handling money all day) is no matter what we are expected to scan everything. Makes sense and is definitely reasonable, assuming people dont already have the items already opened and havent had their nasty germ infested mouths all over it. Or worse their snot nosed drooling lil demon brats drooling and chewing and all in all LEAKING over the items. Im sorry we should NOT be allowed or required to handle these items. Sorry but Im not paid enough to contact someone elses sickness by being told I have to touch something after its been in someones mouth. Truth is if you cant wait to eat it go to hot foods and pay before you open it. Nobody wants to touch it afterwards.
