One of the long standing and respected traditions in the Oscar - TopicsExpress

One of the long standing and respected traditions in the Oscar broadcast is for us to say goodbye to certain actors of power who affected us greatly, deeply.....through their work (Heres Looking at you kid) Zadan & Meron choose to do a quick power point and 70% of the people are (deserving I am sure) people behind the scenes - We dont get clips - by which we remember and say goodbye...from Peter OToole, Gandolfini, Phillip Seymour Hoffman? And then to follow it up with Wind Beneath my Wings?? What? Who thought THAT was a good idea? I can just hear it Lets Get BETTE!! 4 and 1/2 minutes when we could have seen clips from Tony Soprano Lawrence of Arabia or any of the genius turns of Phillip...bad bad and stupid decision. The pizza nonsense??...where was ABC in the editorial process. Makes us re-think last year. Ill take the offence and edge of Seth Macfarlane any day over that chewed pizza dough of last night....Keep Zadan and Meron on Broadway...How about Spike Lee and Spike Jonze taking it on.
