One of the main aims of Labour’s the upcoming annual conference will be to emphasize that contrary to Cameron’s claims that everything is getting better just because GDP is going up, that we know the truth is that for many ordinary people things are not getting better, but in fact harder. Prices are continuously rising fast while wages are in many cases going down. In Wales between 2010 and 2012 real wages have fallen by 8% or around £1669 a year while the cost of many basics, especially energy has spiralled upwards. At this weekend’s conference, I look forward to hearing One Nation Labour’s latest plans to tackle this crisis that the coalition has for so long neglected.
