One of the many wonderful things about our new place is being greeted every morning by our new neighbor, Selma. Shes always dressed so well and smiling brightly, a cheerful Good Morning Apryl as she walks or drives to a mysterious location. She asked us to save our cans for her so she can give them to a friend in need of money. I complimented her hair one day and she thanked me, then explained it was a wig because shed survived cancer but her hair had not. I have no idea how old she is, but shes lived there for 30 yrs, mows her own lawn, and even part of ours once a week. She brings our recycling bin up to our porch when its empty, introduces us to every visitor to her house, compliments every little thing we do to the porch and lawn, tells me I should quit smoking but without judgment.. I am officially in love:-) Daily, she teaches me what living life in gratitude is all about.
