One of the most idyllic areas on the south coast of Crete is Palm - TopicsExpress

One of the most idyllic areas on the south coast of Crete is Palm Beach in Preveli. It is only one and half-hour car drive from Bali. Preveli is a place in south Crete, that consists of a beach, a river Megalo Potamo, and a palm tree forest. The palm trees are along the river, that ends to the beach of Preveli, where you can find a small tavern. The river up to a point is wide enough, so you can do canoe and pedalo. Further up the river you can find waterfalls, where you can even do hydromasage. In the past it used to be a place for camping and naturism but not anymore. You can either go by car up to a point, and then walk the path down the cliff from where you can see the valley of Preveli from a panoramic view (my case), or you can visit Preveli by boat from Plakias. An outstanding beauty - the scenery looks tropical and is definitely a trip that will offer you a surprise! Many characterize the region of Preveli, as an earthly paradise, which is a true! The Preveli Monastery is located near the famous Preveli Palm Beach. The Monastery is consisted of two main building complexes, the Lower (Kato) Monastery of Saint John the Baptist and the Rear (Pisso) Monastery of Saint John the Theologian. The Monastery has a glorious history due to the active and leading involvement of its fellow monks in all national endeavourers for freedom and education of cretan people. Thus, it merits specific recognition and respect throughout the island of Crete. As thanks for your positive evaluations my photo, which was taken in Crete - the largest and most populous of the Greek islands, the fifth-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea , and for all your sweet compliments, I‘m sending you a video from this gorgeous place. THANK YOU ALL, YOU GUYS!!! youtu.be/tynQm1u2e-g
