One of the most important things I have learned since I laid my life in the hands of God is this... The road to salvation isnt pretty. Its crooked, rocky, steep, grueling... Youll sweat, youll cry, youll feel like youre dying inside. Youll feel pain, resentment, loneliness, fear, guilt confusion, jealousy... youll ask someone else to pray for you, because you feel unworthy of Gods listening. Youll be lost... at a dead end road, with mountains all around, and nowhere to go but up. If youre feeling this way, Im begging you... start climbing! Dont wallow in the valley. Put one foot in front of the other and press on--dont you dare turn your head. You are PAST that; PAST your PAST. Move forward, and dont stop. Keep your eyes and arms above you, constantly reaching for the only thing youll ever know that can take away all of those horrible feelings you feel. Lay it on God. He DOES want to listen, and He WILL carry you through this life. You just have to trust Him. Trust is hard, I know... but if theres anyone worth trusting, its your Maker. Its time to be the clay. Its time to step out of your comfort zone, give in to Gods amazing love, and let Him use you for His will. Its time to start climbing that mountain, so you can see some of the amazing views Hes prepared for you. Theyre waiting... Gods waiting. Just know that when you start climbing, before you finally reach that high rock... youll sweat... youll cry... and youll feel like youre dying inside... but you will keep going, because thats what faith teaches you. No matter what, you have to keep fighting, keep hoping, and keep trusting God. Believing and practicing that is the greatest peace you will ever know in this life. Its not easy. Its HARD. But, I promise you, its worth it.
