I caught my pony today eating dried manure in the pasture and deliberately picking though to eat it I am sure, as I watched him for a while. He had access to fresh hay and water and eats a nice meal 2x a day as well as snacks. So he wasnt STARVING..he is a nice weight and has had a recent vet check. Question: Are horses like dogs in that they will eat feces if something is lacking in their diet or out of pleasure? Concerned as it is was..well gross!
