One of the most remarkable benefits of retirement is having leisure time to read. Joined two book clubs and sometimes attend a third. Now have 35 books stored in my cloud on kindle. (Paying much more for the convenience when I should go to the public library) 8 suggestions of those 35 would be a mix of fiction and nonfiction: Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter, The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle, Traveling Mercies: Some thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott, The Light Between Oceans: A Novel by M.L. Stedman, Guest of Honor by Deborah Davis, Half Broke Horses By Jeannette Wells, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks Defending Jacob by William Landay. I wish the television would blow a fuse to tell you the truth. It rarely makes me feel happy or entertained.
