It was with great anticipation that my husband and I returned this July to Seasons Above the Bay. Having been lucky enough to spend the night before and night of our wedding in the Memories of Paris room last July, we were so delighted to be able to return for a brief stay to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in the Ocean Dreams suite. We had seen the suite, briefly, after our stay in 2013 and immediately I wanted to return to stay and enjoy the surrounds of the B&B and that lovely suite. My excitement and anticipation caused by our planned return was not without merit as we were both delighted with our accommodations, yet again. The suite is at once luxurious and homey, not a small feat to accomplish in my estimation! Bev and Jim have achieved the optimum level of comfort so as to make their guests feel relaxed and welcomed balanced with just the perfect touch of opulence so that one feels pampered and truly on a ‘get away’ at the same time. As for the other aspects of our stay, nothing fell short of my remembrances or expectations. The breakfast fare was, as it was the previous year, homemade with pride and great care and leaves one feeling most thoroughly nourished, physically and otherwise. What a wonderful way to begin a wonderful day! The garden, where, weather permitting, you partake of your breakfast odyssey, is a most beautiful and serene backdrop. The flowers and plants are well tended and as delicious to look at as the food is to eat. It, too, welcomes you with a delicate balance of hominess and luxury and is like the most wonderful backyard garden you could imagine. You’re able to spend your time there enjoying the lovely result, smelling the flowers and visiting, without having to do one lick of upkeep! We have always enjoyed our interactions with Bev and Jim as they are most delightful, friendly and helpful people. They are both truly concerned about helping make your stay with them an experience worth repeating! The exquisite touches and attention to detail that Bev and Jim show elevates ones’ experience of the bed and breakfast to such a grand level that it leaves one wishing for more scrumptious home-cooking, more laughs, more relaxing and, most of all, more time to spend at Season’s Above the Bay. 1LikeLike ·
