One of the really nice things about my partially finished apartment that compels people to say, Oh, I really love the space thats only drywalled halfway up, (Today unfinished construction is the new character.) with an unfinished loft with no load bearing studs or the crumbling wall that any real contactor would have sealed, is the rain. The rain coming down on the rooftop sounds soothing and serene. Its a 14 ft. ceiling so the sound resonates beautifully. Im fortunate to have one of the only apts that hasnt had any leaking issues. Its tight as a drum. Once in a while its nice to have something make you feel warm and fuzzy in a world filled with pettiness and stress.
